Frequently Asked Questions

I went to TPI Extravaganza last year, should I go again this year?
Yes! We have completely changed the format this year to provide more industry training that will be available to all TPI Extravaganza attendees. We also changed the venue, added more ship and site inspections, and amazing keynote speaker presentations.

Should I stay through October 6th?
Absolutely! There are plenty of learning experiences that you won't want to miss. There will be a Hollywood themed welcome event, farewell party, spectacular prize giveaways, and terrific guest speakers. Not to mention, the Disney Food & Wine Festival is taking place at the same time.

What is the dress code for TPI Extravaganza?
The dress code at TPI Extravaganza is business casual* October in Florida is still extremely hot, with temperatures reaching in the high 90's. However temperatures in the meeting space may vary so please remember to bring a sweater or jacket if needed.

*Please note for the farewell event you can dress as your favorite Hollywood celebrity.

Registration

When will online registration be available?
Early registration is open now, so reserve your spot at this industry event like no other, where you are the star! Event registration* will open in early June.

*Events include class training, general session meals, ship and site inspections, welcome event, farewell event, and any additional activities related to TPI Extravaganza.

How long will early registration last?
Early registration will close at 6pm on Sunday, March 31st, 2013.

What are the benefits of registering during the early registration process?
By registering early you will be guaranteed first access to choose your TPI Extravaganza events*. Also the early registration period is the only time a discounted rate will be available.

*Events include class training, general session meals, ship and site inspections, welcome event, farewell event, and any additional activities related to TPI Extravaganza.

What's Included In My Registration Fee?
Several meals during the event*, dozens of training opportunities for new and seasoned agents, ship and site inspections, networking opportunities at events including the TPI Exclusive trade show and vendor round tables, invitations to our welcome and farewell events, and so much more!

*There will be an indication on the Extravaganza training/special event session sign up if a meal will be provided.

Can I pay by check or cash?
No, unfortunately we are unable to process check or cash payments.

Can I give my credit card information over the phone?
For security reasons no, but we do allow you to pay using a credit card when you register online.

Can I bring my family to TPI Extravaganza with me?
TPI agents and sub agents are more than welcome to bring one guest to TPI Extravaganza as long as they pay the guest registration fee. Please note guests under 21 are not allowed to attend any of the TPI Extravaganza events/sessions. However, you can certainly customize your schedule so that you can bring your family and make a vacation out of the event. Please check out Visit Orlando's website for a list of things to do in Orlando.

What can my guest attend?
Guests can attend the general session meals, the welcome event, the farewell event, and any other optional activities offered. Due to limited availability, trainings and ship & site inspections will only be available to TPI agents/sub agents.

Does a guest qualify to get the three day park hopper ticket if they book/stay in the room block?
Guests are more than welcome to take advantage of the room rate offered. However, they do not qualify for the ticket provided by Disney Destinations, LLC. To receive the free ticket you must be a registered TPI agent/sub agent and book into TPI's room block for a minimum of 3 nights.

Can guests purchase discounted tickets?
Yes! Feel free to call Group Reservations at (407) 939-4686 and they will be more than happy to discuss pricing.

If I qualify for the three day park hopper ticket provided from Disney Destinations, LLC when will I receive it?
When you check into TPI Extravaganza's event registration at Disney's Coronado Springs Convention area - exact dates/times TBD.

What does the ticket include?
A 3-day Walt Disney World® Magic Your Way Park Hopper® ticket including Water Park Fun & More will be provided to each conference attendee that books a minimum of 3 nights in the conference group TPI's room block. Valid for active selling travel agent only. Not valid for friends, family or children accompanying the travel agent/ conference attendee. Walt Disney World® Theme Park ticket Compliments of Disney Destinations, Travel Agency Sales.

Magic Your Way Base Ticket
This is the base ticket, providing admission for your clients to any one of the four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks for each day of their ticket. Once they choose this ticket, they can add on any of the following options:

Park Hopper® Option
Come and go as you please through all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios® and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park) on the same day for each day of your ticket.

Water Park Fun & More Option
Two amazing Disney Water Parks, one great way to add value to your Magic Your Way Ticket: the Water Park Fun & More Option. Hang ten or take five in Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and enjoy downhill thrills and plenty of ways to cold chill in Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.

What does the "& More" include? You can also choose to visit:

  • Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
  • DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (includes 30-minutes of game play at The PlayStation® Pavilion)

*All tickets and options are nontransferable. Number of Water Park Fun & More visits varies based on number of days of ticket. Certain age restrictions may apply for access to certain facilities. Excludes activities/events that are separately priced. Water Parks are subject to seasonal and weather closures. Tee time reservations are required for Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course and are subject to availability; entitlement covers green fees-other fees may apply. Valid for one round of miniature golf, which must start prior to 4:00 p.m. Only one miniature golf course visit per day. Game play at The PlayStation Pavilion is valid on days the pavilion is operating.

How can I confirm my registration?
You will receive an automated confirmation email upon registration. You can also check under the events tab in TPICentral to view all the events you have registered for. Please allow for a few hours for the e-mail to arrive and be sure to check your junk mail.

How do I sign up for events/remove events/cancel my registration?
You will need to log-in to TPICENTRAL and view your event summary under the events tab. Once there, you will be able to customize your schedule. You will also be able to cancel your registration.

I have special dietary needs for meals how do I submit the request?
This information will be requested upon registration. However, if you forget to indicate your special dietary requests please e-mail info@tpiextravanga.com.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel on or before Monday, July 1, 2013, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between July 2, 2013 and August 31, 2013, you will receive a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellation after September 1, 2013 will result in no refund.

  • Please note if you cancel your TPI Extravaganza registration it will not automatically cancel your hotel room booking. You would need to cancel your hotel booking with the hotel directly.
  • If you sign up for an event that has a meal and no show you will be charged a $25 no show fee to each meal event you don't attend.

*Meal events will include but are not limited to the general sessions,
ship & site Inspections, welcome event and farewell event.

  • TPI Extravaganza cancellation fees and no show meal event fees will be going to our preferred charity.

Can I get the meal plan option added to my reservation?
Unfortunately due to the room rate being so heavily discounted, you cannot receive the meal plan.

Training, Special Events, Ship & Site Inspections

Do I need to register for the training and special events in advance?
Yes, registration will open in early June and availability will be on a first come first serve basis. Please note early registration does not guarantee your spot in any event.

I was put on the waitlist for one of the training classes. When will I know if I can participate?
We will try to let you know prior to the start of TPI Extravaganza. If you are still on the waitlist once TPI Extravaganza has begun please check at event registration.

I was put on the waitlist for one of the ship inspections. When will I know if I can participate?
You will be notified at least one month prior to TPI Extravaganza. Please note that you must clear the port in order to participate and we will need all the necessary information to submit to port in advance.

I was put on the waitlist for one of the site inspections. When will I know if I can participate?
We will try to let you know prior to the start of TPI Extravaganza. If you are still on the waitlist once conference has begun please check at registration.

Can I drive separately to the ship/site tours?
Yes, all requests must be sent to info@tpiextravanga.com in advance. Please note you will be responsible for your own parking fees.

Will meals be included on my ship/site tours?
Any included meals will be indicated in the event description.

Physical Demands

There is a substantial amount of walking required for the ship and site tours and please be aware that Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is very large and spread-out.

What if I need a scooter or wheelchair for my hotel stay?
If you are staying at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort please contact the hotel directly to check for availability and prices.

What if I need a scooter or wheelchair to attend an event or a ship/site tour?

Parking

I am local. Will I have to pay for parking?
No, parking is complementary at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Please plan accordingly to make sure you arrive on time.
